Spring Bulletin

After the huge success of our Wessex Artfest exhibition in January and superb lecture on James Gilray, we are now looking forward to our February lecture “The Art of Seduction” on Valentine’s Day.  The warmth and friendship of our new society grows each month and we all enjoying getting to know each other

Spring Supper

daffs1We are especially looking forward to meeting you at the Spring Supper on 28th March. Tickets at £12.50 are limited to 100 and are selling fast.  Email social@mdfas.co.uk  or see Debbie Fitzcharles at the next lecture to book and pay for your place.

Guest Policy

Now that our attendance has settled down we are very happy to welcome your guests at £5 per lecture.   Our membership secretary is Annabella Lucy and she asks that you do not phone but email her on membership@mdfas.co.uk  to book your guest in.  That way she will have all your details instantly in writing and she will always email you back within a day or two.  We are delighted to welcome your guests but for the moment we will limit the number of guests at each lecture to 10 and suggest that members limit the number of times they invite friends to five per season.    Please always pre-book to avoid any embarrassment at the door.

Snowy Weather

We will do everything we can not to cancel any lectures but if we have to because of bad weather we will put a notice on the website ON THE MORNING OF THE LECTURE on the Home Page.  I will also email everybody on the morning of the lecture.   I will telephone the 8 members who do not have an email address!

We would like to emphasise that we are a new Electronic Society and ALL the information you need about MDFAS:   the programme, the Garden Visits, the Social events, the London Visits and contact details are on the website, www.mdfas.co.uk.  We know that more and more of you are looking at the website.  It is the only way we can let you know instantly of anything new and you will be at a disadvantage if you do not take the trouble to look at it.   I will tell you about events at the meetings and there will be notices on the screen before the lectures, but if you do not attend the lectures you will miss out.

Best wishes,
Christine (February 2012)
